Problem-solving: Raising children to be proactive problem-solvers

When you think about it, every day we encounter personal and professional challenges that require us to solve problems. It’s the same for our children who need to overcome issues that arise at pre-school, school, at home and at play. As a parent or carer, you can support children to learn effective problem-solving skills so they don’t feel helpless and so you know that they can navigate the world safely when adults are not there to guide them. This is especially important as children grow and become more independent as the challenges they face can have far reaching negative consequences.

You’ll feel more confident as a parent or educator when you can support children to develop the skills to overcome life’s challenges. In this webinar parents and carers will learn:

  • What problem-solving is
  • Why problem-solving is a crucial skill for your child’s life success.
  • Simple two-step process for problem-solving.
  • Ways to teach your children effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Question and answer session

By attending this session, parents and carers will have a better understanding of how to help their children develop problem-solving skills so they can navigate the many different ups and downs that life can bring.

Problem-solving: Raising children to be proactive problem-solvers will be held at 1pm on Wednesday 21 August 2024
