PIP Mindfulness Challenge

Wednesday 3 October, 10am – 3pm, Tyree Building Foyer

Wednesday 31 October, 10am – 3pm,  Chancellery Committee Room 2

The PIP device determines your relaxation levels via a handheld device called the PIP. Whilst sitting in a beanbag and wearing headphones during a 2-minute meditation exercise on an iPad, you will learn to identify when you are feeling stressed and how you can calm yourself.

On Wednesday 3 October we will be in the Tyree Building Foyer (between the two solar cars) and on Wednesday 31 October we will be in The Chancellery, Committee Room 2.

No booking required, just drop in!

Health Kiosk

10 October – 24 October – Mathews Pavilions

25 October – 2 November – Law Building Foyer

The health kiosk is about the size of a photo booth and allows you to conduct a health self-check. You can find out your height, weight, BMI, body fat percentage, blood pressure and resting heart rate and have these details emailed or texted to you, or receive a printout on the spot.

We have chosen two locations, one on upper campus and one on lower campus, so that everyone can have a go!

No booking required, just drop in.

Smoothie Bikes

Tuesday 16 October, 10am – 12pm, Library Walkway

With Ride2Work Day coming up on 17 October, we have organised Smoothie Bikes from Bike n' Blend to get us all in the mood for a Ride2Work the next day.

Come to the Library walkway (in front of the Library) from 10am until 12pm and you can blend your own healthy smoothie by jumping on one of the special bikes.

Ride2Work Day

Wednesday 17 October, 8am – 10am, outside JG’s near Science Lawn

In 2018, Ride2Work Day is on Wednesday 17 October. Thousands of Australians will embrace active travel and ride their bikes to work on this day to celebrate.

Why don’t you try it too – then join us from 8am – 10am outside JG’s Café for breakfast and some tips from the UNSW Bike Club and Bike-ology.
