Building Resilience: Supporting children to navigate life's ups and downs

Life isn’t always easy and everyone experiences challenges. Have you prepared your children to handle life’s roadblocks, setbacks and difficulties? Whether you have a toddler who’s had a toy snatched away or a teenager who is being bullied, at every stage of development there are challenges for your children to overcome. Being resilient means that no matter what hardships life throws your child’s way, they’ll be able to manage what’s happening in a positive way, pick themselves up and bounce back better than ever!

This session explores:

  • What resilience is
  • How resilience supports your child’s physical and psychological wellbeing
  • How your parenting approach can support your child’s resilience
  • Practical strategies that build children’s resilience to give them a strong foundation for life success
  • Question and answer session

This session provides working parents and carers with resources to help their children develop resilience so they can enjoy the ups and successfully navigate the downs of daily life!
