UNSW Amazing Race
UNSW Wellbeing, working with HR and UNSW Engineering, bring you an exciting and challenging event to get your brains and bodies moving!
Inspired by a wonderful event held earlier this year in UNSW Engineering, the UNSW Amazing Race is a team-based challenge for UNSW staff.
How does it work?
Teams of four staff will race around the Kensington campus completing a set of challenges. Points will be awarded for tasks completed, with bonus points for team spirit!
Tasks will not be revealed until you arrive at the starting line on the day of your team's heat. You will need your phone and a campus map.
(Hint: It would be to your advantage to also peruse these interactive maps before the race.)
Who can join?
All UNSW staff are eligible to join, so long as you are able to be physically present on Kensington campus for your race. This is a team event - all members of the team must be present and run the race together.
How do I register a team?
Grab three colleagues who you'd like to join you for the race. Complete this form to register your team.
When is this happening?
The UNSW Amazing Race will be run in four heats on the following dates:
- Tuesday 25 October, 10am
- Wednesday 26 October, 11am
- Tuesday 1 November, 12pm
- Thursday 3 November, 11am
Teams will have a maximum of one hour to complete all tasks.
When do registrations open?
Registrations for the UNSW Amazing Race open on Wednesday 5 October. Complete this form to register your team.
Prizes?
Yes! There will be a prize for the winning team from each heat!
The winning teams from each heat will then go up against each other in the Grand Final in November, to find the Ultimate Champions.
